Pacific Foundation for Blind Children

The Pacific Foundation for Blind Children provides two kinds of grants: (1) To high school seniors in Washington who are blind or visually impaired, for technology they will need to further their education or to enter the workforce upon graduation (“Senior Technology”), and; (2) To benefit persons who are blind or visually impaired.

The PFBC Board of Directors determines whether to award all grants. The Board generally meets the third Tuesday of each month. Grant applications received on or before the Tuesday immediately preceding a meeting will be submitted to the board.

The requirements for the award of a grant are:

  • The grant benefits one or more Washington residents who are blind or visually impaired.
  • Need.
  • No other source of funding is available.
  • A completed and signed grant application.
  • A completed and signed release and consent form.

The requirements for the award of a Senior Technology grant are:

  • The applicant will be a graduating senior.
  • The applicant is blind or visually impaired.
  • No other source of funding is available.
  • A completed and signed grant application.
  • A completed and signed release and consent form.
